HELLO AND WELCOME!  My name is Dawn Land and I’m a wife, mother, designer and Realtor.  I live with my husband and son in Northeast Georgia right outside of the Classic City and home of the University of Georgia, in Athens.  I have over 10 years experience in the interior design field and I’m also a Realtor.  I enjoy being creative and working through life’s ups and downs with a sense of humor and wonder. I laugh at myself as often as possible and I thank God every day for the life in which I’ve been blessed.

Creativity has always been in my blood and my love for decorating started when I was just a young girl living in a small town in Southwest Georgia.  I grew up in a modest, middle class home, surrounded by lots of love.  I drew, sketched, and re-arranged my bedroom and dreamed about the possibilities of the future.  My mother owned her own beauty salon in our small town. Growing up being exposed to her creative nature and independence really influenced me and I love to talk about style, makeup and issues women face every day. And just being exposed to all the wonderful characters in that small South Georgia town helped to mold me into the woman I am today. Fiercely independent, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, I work hard, and I’ve never been afraid to follow the beat of my own drum and to take chances in life.

After moving to Athens as a young adult and after having my son, I returned to school and got a degree in interior design which has changed the path of my life.  I have really enjoyed my work in this field and now, having that background along with real estate, I look forward to embarking on new projects and working toward having more financial freedom. I’m excited to help create a brighter future for my family doing what I’m passionate about.

Currently, I’m helping my parents re-design the small home where my father grew up and turn it into a quaint little family cottage.  I’m stoked about documenting that here, so stay tuned.  The future is bright and I look forward to what life brings next!
